Andrej Blatnik (1963) is an associate professor of book studies. He published 12 books in Slovenia and 30 abroad. His short stories are included in many anthologies, among others in Best European Writing 2010 and Short: Five Centuries of Short Short Stories. He won the Zlata ptica award (1984), Župančičeva award (1991) in the Prešeren Fund award (2002). He participated in numerous literary festivals around the world including PEN World Voices in New York, Cosmopolis in Barcelona and Jaipur Literature Festival.
