Call for students to volunteer at the 40th Vilenica International Literary Festival 

On behalf of the Slovene Writers’ Association and the organizing team of the International Literary Festival Vilenica, we invite students to join us as volunteers at the 40th jubilee edition of Vilenica, taking place from 8–13 September 2025 at various venues across Slovenia.

For four decades, the Vilenica Festival has been a meeting point of international literary creativity, the art of dialogue, and cultural diversity. To mark this special occasion, we are preparing a rich programme with outstanding guests from Slovenia and abroad. We are therefore looking for reliable, enthusiastic, and communicative individuals who would like to contribute to the successful realization of the festival.

Volunteers will assist with:

• organizational support at festival venues,
• guiding visitors and guests,
• logistical support, accreditation, and receptions,
• technical assistance and venue preparation,
• other tasks in agreement with the organizers.

What we offer:

• a behind-the-scenes experience of one of the most important literary events in the region,
• the opportunity to work with Slovene and international authors, translators, journalists, and other creators,
• an official certificate of volunteer work,
• the chance to attend festival events.

We invite you to become part of this year’s special anniversary edition, celebrating 40 years of connecting literature and the world.
